Jen & Chris came to Maui to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. Yes, these two have been married for a decade and you would hardly know it since they both look incredibly young. Jen & Chris are hilarious! They make me laugh. Hard. I could feel the love between them through their glances at each other, silly banter and even one threat of throwing him into the ocean. Even though it was my first time meeting them, I feel like I’ve known them for years. I actually connected with Jen through Facebook. She’s the younger sister of Bunn Salarzon, a talented Portland-based photographer who is flying to Chicago with me to shoot a wedding in the Fall.
Jen & Chris — Congratulations on your anniversary! And thank you for all the laughs–my cheeks were sore! Portland is on the top of my list of cities to visit next….and that’s not only because of promises of good Thai food.

Beautiful Anna! Very lovely couple =)
I love it! Wonderful scenery and you can tell the couple is genuinely happy!
Beautiful images! Love the colors and the contrast with the rocks!
Mrs. Anna, you are incredibly amazing! We love, love, LOVE the photos! Did I mention how much we love them?! =D We don’t have one favorite because we love them all! You really have a gift for what you do and you made it so easy for us just to be ourselves. Oh, and just for the record, I wasn’t going to throw Chris into the ocean, I merely wanted him to get a closer look of the breathtaking view… even if it meant standing close to the edge of the cliff. “Accidents” do occur. *ahem*
Come see us in Portland soon! Or, we just may need to make another trip out to Maui– wouldn’t be hard to twist our arms. Once again, THANK YOU!!!
Awww… so cute! I love it! Love the colors! I can’t believe it’s been 10 years already! *tear*
All I can say is “WOW!!!!” These are amazing!!!! When we first met them and hung out with them, I also got the feeling that we’d know them for YEARS!!! They are just great people – love ‘em. You did a WONDERFUL job of capturing not only their love for one another, but also their personalities – they are a fun duo!!! Once again, GREAT JOB!!!
Beautiful!!
Breathtaking! Congratulations again…many more to come!
I love your pictures Anna. What do you mean by “they’ve been married a decade and still look young?” I’ve been married for almost 17 yrs! do I still look young? LOL
Aww! Mi Familia! Anna, you captured them how I see them all the time, very goofy. hehe! Fantastic shots! I can’t pick only one favorite, so hard to pick! But, I must say that last shot is pretty up there. This session totally makes me miss Maui! BTW, my offer of trading in Jen and Chris for sour green mangoes still stand. Just send me the entire tree from your backyard!
P.S. I can’t wait to work with you in Chicago!
