About Me
November 19, 2009The drive to capture the special moments in life – both big and small – fuels me to be a photographer. Looking at the world through the lens and playing with light has offered me an unmatched creative outlet. The artistry of taking pictures, combined with my genuine love of working with people makes professional photography a natural fit.
I feel incredibly grateful to be living on this breathtaking island of Maui with my husband Elan & our big brown dog, Barkley. Elan gifted me my very first DSLR and he has been teaching me photography along the way. Without him, none of this would even be possible.
Random facts about me:
- Growing up, my mom gave me and my brothers bowl haircuts. All three of us looked identical. I have the pictures to prove it.
- Born and raised in MN. Yes, the winters were brutally cold. Maui has milder winters.
- You will never hear me say, “I just don’t feel like having chocolate right now.”
- I started college at the University of Minnesota at the age of 16.
- Many of my days are spent aligning spines and enhancing the nervous system, as a chiropractor. I am fortunate to contribute to the optimal health and well being of very kind and inspiring individuals.
- Elan and I met at a downtown bar called the Lounge when I was 18. 10 years later we sold everything to move to Maui and got married.
- People have labeled me an oenophile. Don’t believe the rumors.
- I would challenge anyone to a game of scrabble.
- Took dance classes for 8 years–tap, jazz and ballet. Even danced in the Superbowl half-time show.
- Spent a summer studying abroad in South Korea and loved every second of it.
Thank you for stopping by. Let me know if you have any questions.
Sending rainbows & pineapples your way,
Anna
